Fabrication of silver-coated PET track-etched membrane as SERS platform for detection of acetaminophen

In this study, silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) were immobilized on the surface of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) membrane using diethylenetriamine (DETA) as a chemical linker. The molecule DETA was attached to PET via an amide bond following scission polyester ester surface. AgNPs diethylenetriamine-modified silver-nitrogen covalent bond. silver-coated, DETA-modified and unmodified membranes characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), ulltraviolet-visible (UV–Vis), scanning electron microscopy (SEM). results showed that size also increased with time immobilization. percentage elemental increase in immobilization membrane. AgNP-coated used SERS platform detect acetaminophen water. molecules could be detected high Raman scattering intensity arising from adsorption platform.Graphical abstract
